Love Me Do Photography is looking for interns to join us this year. The studio consists of two main photographers, three associate shooters, and a photobooth manager. We often hire 2nd shooters to help out with various events. We also work with an array of stylists, event designers, printmakers, seamstresses and professional models.
This is an un-paid position, with the opportunity of paid freelance work on occasion.
Interns will be expected to help with marketing/communications for the studio, as well as some administrative tasks such as printing, scanning, setting up and breaking down equipment, networking with other local businesses.
Interns will have the opportunity to assist on photo shoots both in and out of the studio, as well as minor photo editing.
Experience in photography is preferred, but not necessary. An interest in Wedding or Commercial Photography is a must. You will need to own your own DSLR camera. Basic Photoshop skills are a must. Most of all, a willingness to learn and motivation are key. Also, a good attitude and a fun personality!
Interns will learn the ins and outs of running a photography studio, network and marketing skills, and will have hand-on experience working with clients, other local businesses, and fellow artists around Philadelphia.
Commitment would be either summer or fall semesters. 10 hours a week, split between 2 days. 5 hours would be in the studio, and 5 hours on location at a wedding or photoshoot. It is imperative that interns be available Saturdays throughout the semester.
Internship positions available are May- early August, and late August - early December.
